Brown Rice Break Fast

When my mother showed me this recipe, she always did it in 3 minutes, and I literally became obsessed with it.

Step 1: (1/2) take half a cup of brown rice; this is for 1 person. I usually don’t measure because I think it’s best if people thought for themselves and just went with their gut feelings instead of being constricted. Have a cup of walnuts.

  • 1 (table spoon) Tbsp sliced Almonds
  • 1 Tbsp of Raisins – you also have the option of using blue berries or cram berries.
  • 1/4 cup of regular soy milk – you can also use skim milk as well if you would like.
  • 1 Tbsp of maple syrup – you can also use honey instead, but I like maple syrup because it’s not only good and healthy, but it has a lot of vitamins in it. Add a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon.

Step 2: mix everything gently while heating it on a stove or simply use your microwave and set it to just a few seconds to 1 minute. Voila… that’s it, you are done. It is that quick and simple, and tastes super good.

You can make this for breakfast and bring it to work, school, etc. It is easy to make, tasty and cost efficient. If you are a single person and have no kids, this can literally last you 2 – 3 days. That is how you make a brown rice breakfast really fast, give it a try!

Faux Pancakes

Basically it’s an egg product, a lot of people worry about their carbs, but me personally I don’t worry about that. However, I do believe in balance, so sometimes its pasta at lunch or bread at dinner, you really don’t need bread and carbs every meal, so at times I simply want a nice sweet protein breakfast. Anyway, without further ado, I present to you the faux pancake.

Step 1

  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 1/4 Tbsp strawberry extract or vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp raw sugar

Step 2

Mix everything and pour it in your pan, put the pan on the stove and set it to medium or high heat. Try your best to make sure the egg is cooked evenly. Once the egg is firmly cooked on one side, gently flip the egg over. Once done, sprinkle some fruit on top of the egg, as well as some sugar or maple syrup… and so you have it. Simple and delicious… enjoy!
